Dr. Halvorson is thrilled to be practicing plastic surgery in Asheville after a decade in academic practice at UNC Chapel Hill and Brigham & Women's Hospital / Harvard Medical School. He is a double board-certified plastic surgeon with particular expertise in cosmetic surgery, plastic surgery of the breast, and skin cancer reconstruction. He has won numerous teaching awards, was a residency program and fellowship director, and has presented and published his research extensively.
